Pall Mall perambulations

Pall Mall perambulations

This year’s London Motor Week ended, as usual, with the RMSothebys London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

But before that came the St James’s Motoring Spectacle, in which the heart of London’s clubland was closed off for a bumper crop of motors, many being entrants in next day’s Run.

Getting up close with Veteran cars is always enjoyable. Just how different they often are from even 1920s cars makes any up-close examination interesting. Or is that an age thing? The Special’s guv’nor has become more interested as he gets older and it seems to be a trait with other enthusiasts too.

What a great way to spend a few hours and, bathed in golden Autumn light, a great event became, well, even better.
