Epsom calling

As The Special’s guv’nor gets older he becomes more picky about events he goes to: As seen here before Bicester Scramble is a true favourite and so too are the RAC’s Woodcote Park events, and especially the Mid-Summer Drive-In.

As always, a fine array of cars graced the Woodcote Park lawn and this year members could vote for their favourite car. A handful of categories sadly didn’t include best takeaway delivery car, for which The Special had expectations of the Kia. Still, there’s always next year.

But, jesting aside, again here was a top-class event where a mellow atmosphere and a lack of trying too hard marks it out as one where good company and great cars is what the classic movement should be about.
