When did you last see one?

Spotted, not far from Special HQ: an Orion Ghia Si…. And not only was it a range-topping example of the Escort-with-a-boot, it was in first-class, tip-top order too. But when was an Orion parked on this street?

Which goes, in some way, to show just how unusual many modern classics are. While the likes of Morris Minors, BMC ‘Farinas’ and the inevitable MGB are hardly unusual, this Orion surely deserves the ‘rarity’ moniker. And rightly so.

Parked behind Mrs Special’s Fourtrak the red duo afforded a cracking 1990s throwback and a glance at the blue oval showed not only how tidy it was, but the fact it carried the original dealer registration plates and tax disc holder.

Those details we like, and certainly enjoyed seeing this. Kool? Pretty much so, and how long before we see another?
