A dam good day out

A dam good afternoon out? Certainly, because there’s no getting away with just how beautiful the Elan Valley is. Whatever the time of year it’s striking, but on a bright sunny July afternoon you have to wonder if there could be any better place to be.

The Red Kite Run raised just over £356 for the Cochlear Implanted Children’s Support Group, funds raised by classics taking part in the 60-miles trip around the Elan Valley, having set off from the Red Kite Café, just outside Aberystwyth.

Great roads with plenty of ups, downs, tight and even tighter bends AND some straights for a spannerless de-coke – oh, and those unforgettably stunning views too. Add in the blue skies and you really would struggle to be in a better place that afternoon.
