Back at Bicester

Cold was the wind, grey was the sky, but 7000 Scramblers couldn’t give a stuff about the weather as Bicester Motion got its first 2026 Scramble underway.

And with the Scramble magic evident, what a treat it was, with two seriously pleasing displays to take in: TWR’s 50^th anniversary, with, appropriately 50 TWR cars. If that wasn’t enough, a selection of Group B rally cars marked the final season for the ultimate rallying machinery 40 years ago.

And of course there were the cars scattered around the site, with a tip-top line-up at Pendine and a clutch of first-generation Fiestas marking 50 years (can it really be that long?) since the petite Ford’s launch.

And there’s the car park and no Scramble visit is complete without a decent shufty. As always, no disappointments and as always plenty to like and plenty to inspire.
