We came, we saw – and it was superb
We came, we saw – and it was superb
The mighty 55’s first trip out was to the second Scramble of the year and as always the Oxfordshire venue’s event never fails to impress. From veteran to modern classic, standard to modified, it’s always there.
And unlike some held-in-a-field happenings this one always has something to offer: the businesses based there are a snapshot of just how busy the old car movement is, despite the economy.
It can take a good few hours to soak up the Heritage atmosphere – wherever you look there’s a business to see, cars to be critiqued. Old guard and classic newbies both play their part in the classic scene but at Scramble the melting pot of people and cars and businesses sum up what the 2025 UK classic scene is.
And, of course, there’s the visitor car park which is a show in itself, where it’s easy to get drawn in by what’s made the Oxfordshire trip, and where you could spend a VERY long time.
After January’s wonderfully atmospheric frost and fog backdrop the warm spring sunshine contrasted, but, as always, the Scramble experience was full-on gearhead joy. Long may it continue.
