Does it get any better?

Does it get any better?

Does it get any better than the Bicester Scramble, and especially on a warm Autumn day?

The Special’s attended the first and last 2023 Bicester Scrambles and it just gets better and better. A heady mix of cars of all ages and the sort of visitor who’s interested in cars – but not in making a statement – makes for an event that has clearly secured its future.

As always, where to begin? Let’s begin with that location and the businesses it’s home to. It doesn’t take a genius to see the UK’s classic movement is busy, exciting and proactive, and a walk around the site is always encouraging. The skills of the people who work there are helping secure the classic future of the cars (and other vehicles) that make up the classic scene.

Then, of course there’s the Scramble. It’s a way to find out more about the myriad of businesses and organisations based there, but bringing so many classics together makes the trip more than doubly special. It took the Special’s patron all day to walk around, look at the cars and look in on those based at the Heritage site. Oh, and have many good chats with many good people.

If you’ve still not been to a Bicester Scramble it’s undoubtedly a 2024 essential. We’ll definitely be back for the first of 2024, on 7 January. See you there.
