Mudflaps? Like ‘em or loathe ‘em they still have a job to do
Mudflaps – the work of the devil to many enthusiasts who think there’s a whiff of the pensioner’s car about them. And yes, they can look more than a bit rubbish on the wrong car.
The Special’s BGT had had mudflaps all-round for many years and when one of the rear ones went missing there was the quandary of remove the other, or fit a fresh pair. We went for the latter because Special HQ is on a lane that has much tractor traffic, day in, day out. And while the BGT’s paint is, frankly, beyond redemption it’s worth protecting the panels until the spraygun makes its appearance.
And let’s be honest, they don’t look that bad, do they?
