Red with black? Green with red?
Red with black? Green with red?
If manners make the man, do colours make the car? Some cars will always be associated with a particular colour combination but that brings the problem of an almost cliched look.
Last year The Special’s Le Patron did something he said he’d NEVER do: buy an MGB. But since acquiring our ’67 BGT in December 2021 he’s looking at Mk1 models and, truth be told, reassessing things.
As a result Le Patron pays more attention to Mk1 Bs and these two seen at Historics’ Bicester Heritage sale caught his eye. One was the to-be-expected Tartan Red with black interior while the other was certainly more unusual in green with a red interior. Both cars were, fortunately, on painted wire wheels, which we do like.
Of course colour combinations are very much a personal choice but we’d go for the green each and every time, especially with that red interior.
