Real Classics in Cheshire
What makes a decent classic gathering? A good mix of cars of all ages? A decent venue? Decent owners and mates?
Yes, all three of those make a good meeting. And so does one that features everything from a 1980s Ferrari Testarossa to a competition Allard. And all points in between, including an on-the-decks Skoda Favorit.
Welcome to the regular meeting organised by The Real Car Dealers of Cheshire (TRCDOC), who’ve come together with this top-class, off-the-radar event.
We ventured North from Special HQ in the Cuore for a nose-around and came away more than impressed with this old-school gathering. There’s no value-driven snobbery, no one-make club loyalty (to the exclusion of other models) and owners are of all ages. And no red corduroy trousers either.
It’s a good sign when time passes quickly and having had a good natter with an equally good number of people, this was a welcome return to car meetings of the past. The future’s clearly looking back here, and that’s no bad thing.

It was great to see you, we get an eclectic mix….but that’s the way we like it!
