The joy of rust

You’ve got to hand it to Ford in the 1990s and early 2000s – the blue oval certainly knew how to make their products rust, and our late Escort van is definitely a case in point.

Things are on the mend now, courtesy of our friend Kenny, who’s tackling the monumental task between his other jobs. Some of the floorpan and the inner sills have been replaced but there’s still plenty to be done including the arches and, up-top, the forward part of the roof.

And then there is the mechanical work to tackle. But thanks to Kenny we’ll get back a van that’s way better even than when we bought it 10 years ago, and that’s something to look forward to.
