Underbonnet goings-on
There’s been plenty of activity with the Viva and the BGT and it seems there’s a light at the end of the tunnel for both of them. We’ve had the Viva’s carburettor re-built so it’s a now a case of fitting it, and we’ve just received the new starter motor from our mates at Autoelecctro in Bradford.
If you’re looking for rotating electrics (starter motors and alternators) for your classic we highly recommend this business.
Autoelectro’s also supplying us with a starter motor for the BGT: the one that’s been removed was sluggish and didn’t seem to have much life in it: the new one should kick the much-improved engine into life way more quickly and that means less strain on the pair of six-volt batteries. And no, we’re not going the conversion to a single 12-volt battery route either.
