Viva Re-VIVA-l part 3
Viva Re-VIVA-l part 3
After years of waiting the Viva’s now firmly back on track as its re–viva–l continues apace. Since its last appearance the floor has been painted (it’ll be completed by the time you’re reading this) and all the ignition components have been replaced.
The instrument binnacle’s back in and working and there’s been plenty of re-wiring to do. The internal door handles are all back in and working and even the driver’s sun visor has been thoroughly cleaned and back in place. The original grille has been bolted back on but we’re on the hunt for a replacement as this one’s well past its best.
Our next task is to collect the steel wheels from refurbishers Wheelworkz and have the traditional-style 155/80x12 radials fitted. With those sorted out we might just start to feel we’re getting there…

Hi, fantastic project! What are the plans once it’s finished?
Hello Sam! Well, it’s a VERY long story but the plan is to get it properly running and MoT-tested, use it for some time and then look at having the roof removed because of the bodgery carried out by a ‘restorer’.
