From floorless to, well almost flawless

Gone, but not forgotten and while Project 55 has been absent Kenny the Genius has been working his magic – so much so all the underside welding has been completed.

Kenny’s bought a donor van for a variety of increasingly scarce parts, not least the load-sensing valve and the roof trims, which went missing when it was at another welder and who clearly didn’t do the job.

The brakes have had a serious re-freshing, with new shoes, cables and wheel cylinders at the back. We’re hoping the donor van has a decent heater too as Project 55’s original one packed-up and a replacement proved equally useless.

There’s still plenty to do but with the underside welding finished progress is definitely good. Watch this space as Mrs Special makes a bee-line for the Ford colour charts…
