Two events, one day…

Two events, one day, as come Autumn there’s a host of events worth getting to, as The Special proved in mid-September.

The Kia’s busy Saturday kicked off with a visit to the RAC’s Autumn Drive-In. The pleasingly low-key gathering of members’ cars that ranged from a Hooper-bodied Bentley S1 to, yes, the Kia. And all points in-between. No prizes, no posturing – just a decent gathering of cars. Just how we like it.

After the RAC’s morning meeting it was off down the M4 to Castle Combe for its Autumn Classic. It’s an event we’d been looking forward to following last year’s visit and it was as good as we remembered. A decent race card meant much variety while the racing was invariably close and, unsurprisingly, entertaining.
