Trentham’s terrific turn-out

Third time lucky for The Special, and mighty relief for the organisers: this years’ Trentham Classic & Retro Show wasn’t rained on and as a result there were more cars and a way better atmosphere.

The Trentham estate’s a great venue, offering plenty of room and a great background. There was plenty of room for regional and one-make clubs and a decent hit of modern classics added to the variety.

Hot hatches, some post-war American cars, a beach buggy: it was all there, lining up alongside the regular classics that you’ll see at any show.

Of course, picking a favourite is to be expected and the guv’nor (perhaps unsurprisingly) went for the 1988 Mitsubishi Galant GL, closely followed by the Invicta Black Prince while website creative guru Special K was taken by a selection of Porsche 911s and 1980s fast Fords.

A great show – here’s to next year’s.
